If you can’t grab around your ankles, put your hands, palms up, under your heels, or wrap a yoga belt around your ankles and grab that.  I feel this one on the fronts of my hips and thighs.

Keep the upper legs totally vertical to avoid knee strain. Otherwise relax into this pose. Did I just say relax?
