Ultimately with this one, you are to clasp your hands behind your back, keeping the one arm hooked around the knee and the other off the floor and bent around your back. I cannot do this yet, but everyday those hands are getting closer to each other.

Yes, I did skip Marichyasana II. It is too darn hard.

Asana 42 – Bharadvajasana I

I am sorry that I don’t know who Bharadvaja is, but if you only do one twist, his twist is the one to do. Think of your spine as a maypole. Raise it ever higher on each inhale, and twist the rest of you around it on each exhale. And keep that maypole completely vertical!
