Asana 1 – Tadasana (Samasthiti)

For Tadasana I keep my feet squared, my sternum up, my stomach and buttocks in, and my shoulder blades pressed into my back ribs. And I stand anywhere except in front of a mirror.

Tadasana is the first of the standing poses. These asanas warm you up and loosen your muscles. They also increase your stamina. I do some first thing in the morning every day to get going.
